Rutherford Mobile HRT’s focus is preventing overdoses and the spread of blood-borne illnesses— with a primary goal of keeping people alive long enough to choose personal health and wellness as they define it (recovery).
Comprised of a Certified Peer Support Specialist and a BSN, RN, Rutherford Mobile HRT travels to locations throughout the county providing harm reduction supplies, Peer Support, connection to wrap-around and substance use resources, syringe services, and education focused on health and safety skills, stigma reduction, and practical strategies to reduce the negative consequences of drug use and sexual risks.
Additionally, we provide basic wound care, rapid tests for HIV, HEP-C, Glucose and blood pressure screenings, and other minor health care.
